於1880年代，梁智華（別字「蘇」）主要買賣二手商品及提供維修服務，其中包括「洋傘」。

當時中國只盛行油紙遮，但油紙遮並不耐用。梁蘇認為使用優質材料和精湛工藝製作的遮能提高其耐用性。

因此，於1885年，梁蘇在廣州惠愛西路創辦了第一家梁蘇記遮廠。這家遮廠致力於製作高品質的遮，並提供了一個專門的場所進行維修。

梁蘇記遮廠的成立為人們提供了更耐用和具有品質保證的遮。梁蘇記的遮以其堅固耐用而聞名，迅速贏得了廣大客戶的青睞。

 

In the 1880s, Leung Chi-wah (also known as Leung So) primarily engaged in the buying and selling of second-hand goods and provided repair services, including umbrellas.

During that time, China predominantly used oil-paper umbrellas, which were not durable. Leung So believed that using high-quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship to make foreign-style umbrellas could enhance their durability.

Therefore, in 1885, Leung So established the first Leung So Kee Umbrella Factory on West Hui'ai Road in Guangzhou. This factory was dedicated to producing high-quality umbrellas and provided a specialized location for repairs.

The establishment of the Leung So Kee Umbrella Factory offered people a choice of more durable and quality-assured umbrellas. Leung So Kee umbrellas quickly gained popularity among customers due to their sturdy construction and durability.
